Schools and Universities

Your school or college can really make a positive difference to the lives of the many individuals and families who are supported by Shine.

Whether you want to organise an event or just make a donation then the most important thing is that it’s something everyone can enjoy and get involved with.

There are many ways in which your school could raise money:

  • Organise a fashion show
  •  Hold a talent competition
  •  Have a collection after an assembly or concert
  •  Run a non-uniform or fancy dress day

In the past many schools have chosen to adopt Shine as their Charity of Choice for a year of fundraising – their enthusiasm has been fantastic.

Some schools organise events around one main ‘charities week’, whilst others hold events throughout the year.

If you would like your school to select Shine then why not suggest it to your teachers or Parent’s Association.

Universities

Fundraising at Universities is a popular activity and you can play a role in putting Shine’s name forward when plans are made for events such as Rag Week, Christmas events and general sponsored initiatives.

Organising an event can be a memorable experience as well as being a fun way to spend time with friends. By getting your fellow students involved you can run bigger, better and more successful events, without having to take on a massive project alone.

Please contact the fundraising team to discuss your ideas and the ways that Shine can support you, whether it be with sponsor forms, certificates or promotion.
