A Christmas Appeal from Shine

    • christmasappealbanner2

This year, we are hoping to raise £7,500 through our Christmas Appeal which highlights the unique lifeline of support that Shine provides to over 10,000 babies, children and adults whose lives are affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus, helping them through some of the most difficult times imaginable.

It is only through the generosity of others that we are able to respond immediately when health issues threaten lives or when children with hydrocephalus become withdrawn and frightened because of bullying at school.

By donating today you will help us increase opportunities for our members to meet each other and gain strength through local support groups. They regularly tell us that they feel more involved than ever before and feel they are a part of an organisation which understands and values their experiences and stories.

Sam is one of our mums who wanted to share her story with you and help raise funds to maintain our services in 2012. I hope after reading this moving account of a remarkable journey you will feel confident that any gift you are able to give towards our Christmas Appeal will make a real impact on someone’s life.
