Chelsea and Westminster Clinic

Brief: The region has had a presence at this clinic for many years. It is a Spina Bifida/Hydrocephalus clinic for adults at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital and operates as a multi-disciplinary clinic.

The clinic is led by Dr. Richard Morgan and Shine's representative is Hilary Franklin, Support and Development worker in London.

Hilary gives advice and support on all non-medical aspects of living with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus and information on what the charity has to offer.

Chailey Clinic

Brief: Chailey Clinic is held at Chailey Heritage Clinical services, Beggars Wood Road, North Chailey.East Sussex BN8 4JN

The Sussex Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, have run the clinic for over 16 year olds and referral is via your GP.

There is a consultant, doctor, specialist nurse, dietician, physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and a member of staff from SASBAH to speak to if needed.

Babies born prematurely are at increased risk of developing hydrocephalus.

Para-athletes with spina bifida and hydrocephalus compete in sports ranging from cycling to dressage.
