BUPA Great North Run - We Need Runners!

    • collage2

DEADLINE for Entries: 29th June 2012

Shine is the only charity representing babies, children and adults living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and we are currently looking to fill our last few places in the 2012 Great North Run!

We need YOUR help to find some KIND-HEARTED people who can HELP make this a reality.

Do YOU know someone who might be "up for the challenge?"

Last year 27 runners completed the race for Shine raising a total of £9694 to ensure that the 75,000 people connected with the charity receive the support they need.

These invaluable funds contribute to lives of people all over the North East! As well as the 133 members with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus who rely upon Shine’s Support and Development Workers to gain access to key services and equipment, we are also there for the family, friends, carers and professionals who support them.

The Bupa Great North Run is the world's largest half marathon taking place annually each September. Participants run between Newcastle upon Tyne and South Shields in England.

The first Great North Run was staged on 28 June 1981, when 12,000 runners participated.
