Shine HQ Admin Volunteer

Could you offer a few hours to help our lovely Resources and Fundraising teams in Shine’s Head Office based in Peterborough?

Role Overview
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of our dynamic charity organisation. Join us in gaining valuable experience, expanding your knowledge, or contributing to a meaningful cause. 


Responsibilities

  • Telephone Management: Efficiently handling and directing incoming calls.
  • Resource Management: Monitoring and replenishing resource stock.
  • Compiling informative packages for members and fundraising supporters.
  • Project Coordination: Assisting with upcoming projects and campaigns, including Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Awareness week, as well as the Go Yellow for Shine initiative.
  • Event Assistance: Collaborating with the Shine Fundraising and Shine Services teams to facilitate virtual and in-person events for staff, members, and supporters.
  • Data Management: Logging data information on Salesforce (CRM), with training provided.
  • Updating member records, managing mailings, and organising filing.
  • Scanning documents, preparing materials, and drafting letters.
  • Handling any additional ad hoc administrative tasks as they arise.

Selection Procedure
Candidates will be required to complete an application form and provide two references. For individuals possessing the requisite skills for this role, an informal conversation with a Shine representative will be arranged.

Preferred Level of Commitment: Flexible hours to be mutually agreed upon.

Location Requirement: Applicants should reside in or near Peterborough, as this position is office-based.
