Benny and Bella Bear

Benny and Bella are special bears. Benny has hydrocephalus and Bella has spina bifida.

Benny has a shunt to help treat his hydrocephalus and loves to play games, go to school and make friends. His best friend Bella Bear has spina bifida and has lots of fun and adventures too.

The bears have lots of fun helping children (and parents and teachers...) discover all about hydrocephalus and spina bifida, what makes life better at school and at home, and the brilliant work that Shine does to support children too.

All about the Benny and Bella Bear Club

The Benny and Bella Bear Club is for Shine members in the UK up to 12 years old, and their brothers and sisters.

New members receive a welcome pack, including a teddy bear, stickers and certificate. We will let you know about special events in your area too!

How to join

If you are aged 0-12 and already a Shine member you will already be part of the Benny and Bella Bear Club.

If you are new to Shine, it’s easy and free to join! Ask a parent or guardian to complete the form, or phone us on 01733 555988 or email firstcontact@shinecharity.org.uk
