Take on the Brighton Marathon & experience the buzz of the UK's 3rd largest marathon! 

Organised by London Marathon Events, this is a fantastic marathon to take part in!

The Brighton Marathon offers a stunning coastal backdrop, taking runners past the best the city has to offer. Run along the glorious seafront and cross the finish line in front of thousands of cheering spectators. 

The flat course makes it perfect for runners looking for a quicker race and it's also renowned for its roaring crowd support!

Charity places   

Shine have a limited number of charity places available. Book your spot on the start line today by clicking ‘sign up now’ at the bottom of this page.

Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so act fast to avoid disappointment.  


Do you have your own place? 

If you have a general entry place in the race, we'd love you to be a part of #TeamShine!  
With no minimum sponsorship pledge or registration fee, we simply ask you to raise as much as you can to support members and families affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.  
Plus, you'll have access to all the great benefits above.

Accessibility  

The event organisers believe that sport and activity should be accessible for all, which is why their dedicated team supports people with a huge range of disabilities to take part in the Brighton Marathon.

You can use the following wheeled equipment or device in the event:

  • Standard day chairs/wheelchairs with a maximum width of 95cm and length of 2.20m – a front wheel attachment may be also used.
  • Race Runners – but please email them first if you wish to use one of these.
  • Crutches, frames or walkers that are not motorised or geared.

If your disability or medical condition means you need a support runner, you can apply for a free place for them. Please email the event organisers outlining your request and the reasons for it and please also let us know.
