Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run

Experience the atmosphere of the Great Manchester Run with this event!

The biggest, and probably, the  best kids’ run in the North West! The AJ Bell Junior and Mini Great Manchester Run is back in 2025!

Get the whole family involved in next year’s AJ Bell Junior and Mini Great Manchester Run, where the youngest runners (3-8) take on a fun and frenzied 1.6km dash, whilst the junior runners (9-15) take on a 2.5km supercharged sprint.

Join the action at the Etihad Campus, the day before the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run, giving the younger ones their own day to take centre stage with fancy dress, high-fives, and lots of local support!  

It’s an incredible event and all part of the iconic Great Manchester Run weekend of running. Why not go along and be a part of it?

On top of lots of high fives and cheering supporters and an incredible sense of achievement, all runners will get:

• A t-shirt to run in, and shiny medal to show to all of your friends
• A safe, secure and fun filled route

Minimum sponsorship pledge: There's no minimum sponsorship - just raise whatever you can!

Please note that Shine does not have any charity places in the Junior & Mini Great Manchester Runs - it's necessary to sign up with the organisers to get places.

When your child joins #TeamShine they will receive:

• Shine T shirt (child sizes are in ages up to 14, adults XS-XXL)

• Ongoing support from our dedicated fundraising team to help you reach your target

More information

Mini entrants (3-8 yrs) must run with a parent, each child should be entered into the event. When you receive your child's race number there will be an adult race bib with it. If both parents wish to run with their child, then you can collect another adult bib on the day from the event's Information Point.

Junior entrants (9+) do not need to be accompanied by an adult although this can be requested upon entry if required, each child should be entered into the event.
