Experience the atmosphere of the Great South Run with this event!

The Junior & Mini Great South Run events are back in 2026!

It’s not just grown-up runners who love to be by the seaside – mini and junior runners love it, too!

Give younger athletes a taste of that big event buzz with an entry into the 1.4km AJ Bell Mini (3-8) or the 2.5km Junior (9-15) Great South Run and kickstart a lifelong love of being active.

With some crazy costumes, entertainment & music and so much more, you’re guaranteed a fantastic day out, plenty of sea air and an unforgettable finish line feeling.

Happening on the day before the Great South Run, on top of lots of high fives and cheering supporters and an incredible sense of achievement, all runners will get:

  • A shiny medal to show to all of your friends and a t-shirt to wear on the day.
  • A safe, secure and fun filled route
  • Bragging rights of being part of the biggest and best kids running events.
