Second in size only to the London Marathon, the Adidas Manchester Marathon is one of the UK's premier running events, famous for its fast, flat and friendly route.

The event has become a favourite with runners of all abilities, ranging from some of the world's greatest elite runners, to those who thought completing a marathon would never be possible. Over 30,000 runners will be putting on their trainers for the challenge – will you be one of them?

The Manchester Marathon starts at the iconic Old Trafford Stadium and takes you north through the city centre before heading south, down through Sale to Altrincham. You'll then head back up north before finishing on Oxford Road.

If you have a general entry place in the race, we would love you to be a part of #TeamShine! With no minimum sponsorship pledge or registration fee, we simply ask you to raise as much as you can to support members and families affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
