Allison held a bake sale while Adele dyed her hair yellow for the day!

Here are some more fundraising ideas to make your Go Yellow for Shine day more fun:

  • Ask your friends and family to join you and go yellow – why not set up a fundraising page on JustGiving so you can see how much you have raised?
  • Hold a yellow day – whether you sell yellow cupcakes, host a yellow BBQ or hold a yellow themed quiz, there are lots of ways to boost your fundraising
  • Share your photo on social media tagging @ShineUKCharity and using #GoYellowForShine. You could also nominate your friends and family to do the same!
  • Why not get your school, nursery or workplace involved to raise more for Shine?
  • Can’t do 14th June? Simply plan your own Go Yellow day any time you wish.

Willow's Story - Why Shine needs your support

‘Shine was amazing and helped provide much-needed positivity regarding spina bifida and a life a child/adult can have.’

After her unborn baby was diagnosed with both spina bifida and hydrocephalus at her 20 -week scan, Emmy found Shine through a Google search and has been in contact with the charity since.
‘They were able to break down MRI scans and doctors' reports which painted a very bleak picture and without such positivity and better statistics, Willow may not be here today.’

Willow is now 5 and loves her chow chows, monster and mayhem. She loves going to the park with her Mummy and Daddy.

Many of Shine’s services are entirely funded by the generosity of the general public. Any support you can give us this ‘Go Yellow for Shine’ day would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our friendly fundraising team by emailing fundraising@shinecharity.org.uk.
