Join other schools, nurseries and colleges across the country and fundraise for Shine during awareness week. We need your support to spread awareness of hydrocephalus, but just as importantly, we need to continue to find ways to raise money so we can keep on supporting and improving the lives of those affected.

You can support Shine this year by holding a Hats On for Hydrocephalus event.
It’s as easy as 1,2,3!
"For the first time I had a better comprehensive knowledge of the condition and immediately felt less anxious and afraid."
James was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at 4 months old and his family have been supported by Shine since. From support understanding the condition at first diagnosis to supporting the family, including James' older sister, to be less fearful of James' future and recognise his potential. Shine has also supported the family with benefits and education support.
James has come a long way over the years and is a confident young boy.
"Shines help and advice throughout James life has been invaluable and I cannot say enough fantastic things about the charity and everyone I have encountered from it".
