Ask someone you know to help

We are always looking to spread awareness of Shine and find new people to tell about the work we do and ways they can spread awareness and raise funds. This is where you come in.  

Get started by thinking about the people you come into contact with.  

• Do you know a teacher or a member of the PTA? Ask if their school could fundraise for Shine and share our schools fundraising ideas with them 
• Is your company, or the workplace of a friend or family member, looking for a new charity of the year, or could they hold a one-off fundraising event for Shine? They can find ways to get involved here
• Do you know someone who could benefit from the work Shine do? Whether someone living with spina bifida or hydrocephalus, a friend or family member or a professional such as a GP or teacher. Please tell them about the work that Shine does and refer them to our website.

Even if you are not able to give to Shine financially, you can support Shine by spreading the word to your network.

You never know who you are connected with that can get involved and by spreading the word, you’ll be supporting Shine to raise funds and sustain the delivery of vital services for people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
