Our Trustees are responsible for guiding Shine, ensuring that we as a charity stay true to its founding purpose. Chairing a charity is a pivotal role, making a significant impact on the organisation as a whole. Chairs also possess certain admirable qualities, including a good sense of humour, the ability to empower others, friendliness, humility, and strategic foresight.
Greg Smith, who recently concluded his tenure as Chair of Shine in March of this year, and Joanne Williams, who has now taken on the role, exemplify all of these qualities.
We would like to express our profound gratitude to Greg for his remarkable 10-year contribution as a Trustee and for leading the organisation as Chair during the past few years. Simultaneously, we extend a warm welcome to Joanne as she assumes the responsibility of chairing her first full board meeting this week.
To both Greg and Joanne, we extend our heartfelt appreciation. Your dedication and invaluable contributions are deeply appreciated by all.
