Jo is one of our long-standing volunteers and helps out at Shine HQ with our wonderful Service Admin team. Jo mails Benny Birthday cards to our Little Stars members, welcome packs for our new members, and other administrative tasks as required. Jo is a kind character with a brilliant sense of humour, and we were so happy to welcome Jo back after the office was closed during Covid-19.
Jo says this on the benefits of giving back: "You get out of life what you put in. That which I give to Shine through my volunteering is returned back to me endlessly, and in countless ways. Having the privilege of working with such a remarkable charity means an amount beyond measure. It definitely brings out the best in me. To sum it up in one sentence, no one has ever made it through their life without somebody else's help."
