My Neuro Survey: Make your voice heard

16th August 2024

My Neuro Survey is the largest patient experience data source used for commissioning services and campaigning for better care, support, and treatment for people with neurological conditions.

Shine would like to ask all our members to share their experiences by completing the survey and sharing as widely as possible. It takes approximately 20 minutes to fill in the survey and your responses will be anonymous and securely stored.

Everyone should have equal access to the right care and support when they need it, no matter their circumstances or location. Unfortunately, for those with neurological conditions, access isn’t always as easy or timely as it should be, and standards of care vary much more than they should. Taking part in #MyNeuroSurvey will help The Neurological Alliance to campaign for improved care standards and access.

My Neuro Survey is repeated every two years to ensure the data collected is always up to date and reflects current needs and service provision. The deadline to complete this year’s survey is 15th of November 2024 so make sure to complete before then if you want your experience to be included and your voice to be heard.

Kate Steele, Shine’s CEO, is keen to champion the survey:

“My Neuro Survey aims to capture collective insights from people living with neurological conditions, which include spina bifida and hydrocephalus, from across the UK.  It is the biggest survey of its kind, and will highlight the on-going challenges that children, young people and adults face, as well as those faced by parents and carers. The results will be used to lobby and campaign for improved statutory services across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The greater the number of responses from Shine members, the louder our voice will be."
