Tethered Cord is a condition where the bottom end of the spinal cord is fixed, so that it can’t move freely inside the spinal bones as it should.
Shine Legal Panel have had the fantastic opportunity to interview John Goodden, who is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, NHS Trust, on Tethered Spinal Cords.
He talks about the different types of tethered spinal cords and answers questions on signs to look out for, surgery, when problems may show, as well as his advise for parents.
