Save the date! Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus Awareness Week 2025

11th April 2025

Coming up on 19th – 25th May 2025 is our second annual Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) Awareness Week.

Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) is a condition that mainly affects individuals over 60 years of age. It is most commonly recognised by the onset of three symptoms: increased difficulty walking, cognitive changes, and bladder and bowel concerns. NPH can present in a similar way to other conditions experienced by older adults, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. NPH, a potentially reversible form of dementia, could account for around 6% of individuals living with dementia and should be considered as a possible cause.

This year, we will be hosting our second annual NPH Awareness Week during the week of May 19th to shine light on this condition in the hope that more people will recognise these symptoms and seek an early and accurate diagnosis.
