Put Your Hats On and Help Shine This Hydrocephalus Awareness Week 2026!

2nd February 2026

Hydrocephalus Awareness Week is fast approaching, taking place from 9th-15th March 2026, and we’d love for you to be involved!

Hydrocephalus Awareness Week is a great opportunity not only to fundraise to help Shine continue to provide specialist advice and support services to the hydrocephalus community, but also to amplify our voices in raising awareness.

One of the easiest and most fun ways to get involved is by taking part in Hats On for Hydrocephalus on (or around) Friday 13th March 2026.

Hats On for Hydrocephalus!

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

  1. Ask your workplace, child’s school/nursery, your family, and friends to join in! All we ask everyone to do is wear their favourite headgear, and make a donation!
  2. Simply set up a JustGiving page to collect your donations online here or get in touch by replying to this email for advice.
  3. Alternatively, donate your money raised or make a personal donation to Shine online here. Other ways of donating can be found here.

To help make your Hats On day a success, take a look at our downloadable pack for letters you can share with your child's school/nursery or your workplace. You'll also find posters and activities, a social media toolkit and lots of other useful resources to help you.

On the day, please take a photo and share it to help spread awareness, tag us @ShineUKCharity and use #HatsOnForHydrocephalus.

Join Hats On for Hydrocephalus!

Many thanks for your continued support, and please do get in touch or reply to this email if you would like to get involved in other ways.
