Join Us For Events During Hydrocephalus Awareness Week 2026

Hydrocephalus Awareness Week is taking place from Monday 9th – Sunday 15th March 2026.

During the week, as well as some of Shine's regular events, we'll have information sessions and social events for you to come along to, both virtual and face-to-face. Monday 9th March

• 11am - Morning Parent/Carer Zoom
• 7pm - Financial Fitness Session (Zoom)

Tuesday 10th March

• 10:30am - Living Well with Hydrocephalus - Managing Fatigue (Zoom)
• 3pm - Chatter Matters (Zoom)
• 4:30pm - Little Stars 5-8 year-old Zoom
• 7pm - Shine Social – Coffee, Chat, and a Quiz or Two! (Zoom)

Wednesday 11th March

• 11am - Hydrocephalus Question and Answer with Mr Toma - Neurosurgeon (Zoom)
• 1pm - Causes and Management of Hydrocephalus Shunt Infections with Prof. Roger Bayston (Webinar)
• 3:30pm - Access to work and Employment support – featuring Workability (Zoom)
• 7pm - Shine Social Book Group - The Cracks that Let the Light In by Jessica Moxham (Zoom)

Thursday 12th March

• From 9:30am - Kidz to Adultz Middle (In person - Coventry)
• 10:30am - Adult members' coffee and chat (In person - Lurgan)
• 6pm - F.I.R.E. Youth Programme – Friendship - Storytelling (Hydrocephalus Awareness Week Special) (Zoom)

Friday 13th March

• All day - Hats On!
• 1pm - Webinar - Ventriculoatrial shunts for hydrocephalus with Prof. Roger Bayston (Zoom)

Saturday 14th March

• 12pm - Shine Social London - The Last Days of Pompeii: The Immersive Exhibition (In person - London)
