  •  Shine’s Education Survey

On 7th January Shine is sending out a survey for all members with a child born during or after 1993 to find out more about the experiences of families across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The deadline for responses is 4th February 2019.

 

  • Applying for a primary school place? Listen to Contact’s new podcast

Tuesday 15 January 2019 is the national deadline for primary school applications in England. Over the next few weeks, many parents will be making their final choices about what schools to apply for.

  • Workshops run by Contact for Families with Disabled Children

Free workshops for parents to help get support needed in early years, inclusion and best outcomes for 0-8 years in the north west of England:  https://contact.org.uk/northwest

 

  • Council for Disabled Children – Skills for Support Training

The CDC is running 2 workshops for parents and professionals to map the training needs of children and young people with learning disabilities. The first workshop is in London on 21st January and the second is in Bristol on 23rd January. More Information Here 

 

  • Education Show at ExCeL in London 24th -25th January 2019

This is a free event with workshops on SEND in the primary classroom:  https://www.education-show.com/

 

  • Youth Sport Trust conference at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 28th February 2019

This is a free event with the theme of ‘transforming education through sport’ with some stands devoted to disability sport: https://www.youthsporttrust.org/yst-conference

 

  • Schools and Academies Show in London 3rd- 4th April 2019

This show is also at ExCeL and offers over 50 hours of CPD content for professionals: https://saashow.london/
