Southern Region SDW Manager/Services Coordinator

Hydrocephalus. We provide specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with the conditions, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time SDW Manager/Services Coordinator to lead our
Southern Region. We have around 12,000 members across England, Northern Ireland and Wales who contact us for support at key points in their lives. The purpose of this role is to coordinate and deliver high quality services for individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families throughout the Southern Region.

You will manage an established team of experienced Support and Development Workers who are
home based in various locations across the region and work on your own caseload as required. You will also coordinate and oversee the delivery of a programme of events and peer support groups, manage project delivery of funding grants secured for your area and develop and maintain relationships with local and regional partners and funders.

A minimum of 2 years experience of staff team management including providing guidance and
support on casework, managing staff workload and capacity and providing staff supervision is
essential, as is a good knowledge of child and adult safeguarding. A qualification in health, social
care or education would be desirable.


Hours: Full time
Pattern of Work: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with flexibility to work occasional evenings or
weekends when required
Salary: £30,000 (if suitably experienced)
